The Reitzel group has its own vinegar factory, one of the last in Switzerland, on its Aigle site. According to the traditional method, wine is transformed into vinegar. A master vinegar-maker, Reitzel offers a wide selection of varieties: wine vinegar, apple vinegar, etc.

Spotlight on balsamic vinegar

The popularity of balsamic vinegar has soared over the past ten years. Straight from the Modena region of Italy, this condiment, which is characterised by its sweet-and-sour flavour, is essentially made from cooked grape must. It is perfect for flavouring salads and some cooked dishes.

The balsamic vinegar found in retail has generally been aged for 3 to 5 years and still has a powerful aroma, but its acidity is very strong.

For Reitzel, it was natural to include balsamic vinegars in its product range. But as an innovative, premium brand, Hugo Reitzel offers an alternative to red balsamic vinegar: a white balsamic condiment enhanced with raspberry juice with a real acid candy taste! Not to mention its red balsamic vinegar with natural basil extract combining sugar with the freshness of basil.
