A hundred-year-old company, Reitzel has always preserved a ‘taste for balance’ based on three aims: satisfying our clients, motivating our employees and achieving the best possible profitability. These efforts to strike a balance are now focused on a sustainable development approach in our company.
At the present time, we cannot limit our vision of sustainable development to a purely environmental approach. It is a concept that promises economic prosperity, social well-being and the preservation of our resources. Adopting a sustainable development approach means trying to remedy social inequalities, and paying attention to ethics and transition economies.
The Reitzel ‘house’ is a genuine community in which the stakeholders – shareholders, employees, public authorities, NGOs, clients and suppliers – all interact with one another.
A company is an ecosystem!
Based on this premise, making Sustainable Development a pillar of Reitzel’s values (‘the taste for balance’) means having a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategy consistent with the following principles:
Authenticity: a real determination to accept our social and environmental responsibilities.
Sustainability: values that have been established for over two years, which we intend to maintain.
Balance: between the company’s mission, environment, culture, strategy and resources.
Performance: the company’s medium- & long-term economic performance.
Despite the purchasing power crisis and the financial difficulties of governments, doing nothing is not an option.
How do you expect for a company like Reitzel to prosper if it does not address today's biggest social challenges?
