Gillet Contres is, since 2012, a premium vegetables brand of the Group. The brand name is enhanced by a distinction, ‘Maître Légumier’ since 1908, and by a particular purpose: offering authentic, delicious, local and high quality vegetables.
The brand preserves the authenticity and the quality of its offer through a fine and meticulous selection of its products. The aim is to offer natural, high quality and tasty vegetables.
Harvested in accordance with the environment and the seasonality of the products, the vegetables are manually prepared and packaged.
Since the place of production, from now on based in Connerre (French province), Gillet Contres selects the best varieties of vegetables coming from the historically producing regions in France : leeks and asparagus of Val de Loire, beans of Vendee, chicory of the North, green lense of Puy, etc…
Gillet Contres offers a wide range of vegetables packaged in glass jars, which makes it unique in the market.

In 1908, Marius Gillet founded his factory of asparagus and rillettes. With his patronymic, he attached the name of the city in which he set up his factory: this is how the brand name Gillet Contres was created. Here is another secret of history: the city of Contres is located near Blois, in the region of Blesois (French province). Gillet Contres holds this region close to its heart… and in its blazon, where it is written ‘Aux délices du Blesois’.
