A new experience was launch in Reitzel Group to share experiences of employees on different production unit. The aim is to share knowledge, methods of work, everyday life and especially same values…
The first "couple" who experienced was maintenance technicians Willy Cefber from Bourré (France) and Ismet form Aigle, Switzerland.
After the visite of Willy in Aigle in October 2012; Ismet came in Bourré last February.
Ismet is sharing with us his feelings about his experience:
What were the different tasks that you have to do during your stay in Bourré ?
My main tasks were welding which is my specialty, machining parts and some technical interventions on failures. I had to show to my French colleagues how we machine and weld pieces in Aigle.
Did this project enable you to improve your technical skills?
Their infrastructure is really different for ours, so i had to work in different types of machines, different from the ones in Aigle. But after 8 years in Reitzel Suisse, I have already a good knowledge of industrial machines. I would say that it was more broadening my knowledge than a real discovery.
What are the most important points that you will keep in mind about this experience?
I really appreciated spending the week there, I met new people and I developed links between the two production units. I learned new way of working, but one week is too short … time flies, when we get really comfortable in the company, it's already time to leave.
Is Bourré so different form Aigle ?
Yes because there is only one line of jar production. The advantages were cleanness of the line with a good organization. Each worker has a precise field of action.
In your opinion, should we keep doing the kind of experience?
For sure. Maybe we should extend this experience to other departments because the human relations are really important, especially on two sites which are far from each other. Sharing experiences helps to become more efficient.
Do you have a special message for someone?
I really would like to thank all the Reitzel Briand team for the warm welcome. Especially to Willy, I hope to see you one day … soon!
