Every year for more than 20 years, the Reitzel Group has been providing financial support to Handicap International, assisting handicapped and vulnerable people across the globe. The association responds to their individual needs, improves their living conditions and helps them to integrate into society.
Since it was founded, Handicap International has established development programmes in more than 60 countries and has responded to numerous emergency situations. A network of 8 national associations (Germany, Belgium, Canada, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, UK, USA) works tirelessly to mobilise resources, co-manage projects and spread the organisation’s principles and initiatives.
Bernard Poupon, CEO of the Reitzel Group, is also the president of Handicap International Switzerland.
REITZEL supports the association CARDTS (Citizens Alliance for Rural Development and Training Society), which provides financial support and assistance to orphans whose parents have died from AIDS or have been significantly affected by the virus and are no longer able to fully carry out their role as parent.
Today, the orphanage supported by the Reitzel Group accommodates around sixty children in Kunigal, just a few kilometres from Reitzel India’s factory.
Alongside other donors, Reitzel is involved in a variety of other projects to improve facilities, housing, education, recreational activities and the lives in general of these children.
