Reitzel France : reduce our consumption through better organisation

Both the manufacturing process and the organisation of production schedules are designed to use electrical power as efficiently as possible.

Reitzel India : innovate in our use of machines and suppliers

➥ Goal : 17% less in 3 years (we used 4% less in 2011)

We monitor our consumption on a monthly basis. We have 2 sources of supply for the plant : the supply network and generators. The energy efficiency of equipment is one of the selection criteria prior to making an investment.

We produce part of our hot water using solar panels.

Production schedules are designed to use power in the most efficient way.

Reitzel Switzerland : optimise our production methods

➥ Goal : 8% less in 3 years

We have implemented a system for recording our consumption. This system allows us to exactly measure our consumption over 15 minute intervals and has enabled us to put in place :

• 1. a load-shedding system and
• 2. specific improvement actions.

This study showed that we had a base load consumption of about 20%. Our targets are devices on stand-by, compressed air leaks and all equipments or parts of equipments that use power even when stopped.
